Contributor Guidelines

We welcome passionate home decor enthusiasts, experienced DIYers, and interior design professionals who want to contribute to Chic Living Club. However, we hold all contributors to the same high standards as our in-house team. Here is what we expect from everyone who writes for us.

Who We Accept

We accept pitches and submissions from contributors who have genuine, demonstrable experience in the topic they are writing about. This could be a professional background, a certification, years of hands-on practice, or a combination of all three. We do not accept generalist writers with no connection to home decor, design, or DIY.

What We Are Looking For

We are always looking for fresh angles on the topics we cover, including room decorating ideas, DIY tutorials, design style guides, seasonal decor inspiration, outdoor living projects, and craft tutorials. Pitches should be original, specific, and clearly useful to our readers. We do not accept regurgitated listicles or content that could have been written by anyone with a quick Google search.

How to Pitch

Send your pitch to us via our contact page. Include a brief summary of your proposed article, why you are the right person to write it, and two or three examples of your previous work. We aim to respond to all pitches within 7 to 10 business days.

Contributor Standards

All contributors must adhere to the following. Content must be original and written exclusively for Chic Living Club and cannot have been published elsewhere. All claims, techniques, and product recommendations must be based on real experience or verified information. Contributors must disclose any brand relationships or conflicts of interest before submission. All submitted content goes through our standard editorial review process before publication. Contributors will receive a byline and a short author bio on every published article.

What We Do Not Accept

We do not accept keyword stuffed, AI generated, or thinly researched content. We do not accept content that promotes unsafe DIY practices or unverified design advice. We do not accept submissions that are primarily promotional or written to advertise a product or service.

Fact Checking Policy

At Chic Living Club, accuracy is non-negotiable. We have a clear fact checking process in place to make sure every piece of information we publish is reliable and trustworthy.

How We Fact Check

All statistics, product specifications, measurements, safety guidelines, and technical instructions are verified against credible primary sources before publication. These sources include manufacturer documentation, industry publications, certified trade organizations, and peer reviewed design and construction references.

DIY tutorials and home improvement techniques are reviewed by Jerry to ensure they reflect safe, accurate, and tested methods. Design and styling advice is reviewed by Sky to ensure it is grounded in established design principles and current industry standards.

Updating Existing Content

The home decor and DIY space evolves constantly. Products get discontinued, techniques improve, and trends shift. We conduct regular content audits to ensure our older articles remain accurate and relevant. When an article is updated, we clearly note the revision date at the top of the page so readers always know they are getting current information.
